The MOS UpLift™ is a load-assist lifting mechanism that mounts to your car’s roof rack crossbars. It is specifically designed to enhance convenience and support ergonomic handling when loading and unloading gear from the roof of your vehicle. By smoothly lowering your gear 2 feet (61 cm) to the side of the car, it makes the process effortless while reducing strain on your body.
Compatible with a wide variety of accessories—including bikes, kayaks, skis, roof boxes, and paddle canoes—the MOS UpLift™ is your versatile companion for outdoor adventures.
Note: To install the MOS UpLift™, your vehicle must have crossbars with a minimum load capacity of 165 lbs (75 kg).

Care instructions
• Avoid storing your MOS UpLift™ and its accessories where it is exposed to sunlight, extreme or changing temperatures andhumidity.
• Do not lubricate the wrenches and bolts. Do not use thinner or solvents as they may damage the MOS UpLift™.
• When necessary, clean the dirt with fresh water and a soft cloth. If the dirt does not come off with fresh water, use only mild cleaners to ensure proper operation and increased safety, as well as to increase its durability. Never use abrasive cleaners, salt, lubricants, or any other product or liquid (other than water and mild cleaners) on the MOS UpLift™.
• If you are using the MOS UpLift™ in the winter, be sure to completely clear the snow, ice and calcium residues from your MOS UpLift™.
• When installing the MOS UpLift™, apply antiseize to all stainless steel hardware to prevent seizure. The antiseize is included in the package. Perform regular inspection on the MOS UpLift™ parts, load carriers, and roof accessories to ensure that they are free of defects, breakage, or signs of wear.
•If you find any parts of the MOS UpLift™ bent, worn, or damaged, stop using the MOS UpLift™ immediately and replace the parts by contacting our customer service department by email at support@mosracks.com.

The lift assist does NOTHING for the final 5 inches !! I bought this because I have physical challenges and can't get my kayak onto my car's roof. If I wasn't 6ft tall and able to push the kayak up the last 5inches with my HEAD!!...I STILL wouldn't be able to get my kayak up w this lift!
Also, the entire instruction manual is in French. So no help.

Your satisfaction is very important to us. To better understand the situation and find a solution, could you please send us a few photos of your setup while lifting your kayak to support@mosracks.com? If possible, a short video would also be very helpful.
Regarding the lift assist. On the way down, the system is designed to bring the kayak close to the loading position, reducing the effort required. On the way up, a small final horizontal push is necessary to bring the kayak back into the locked final position. Depending on the vehicle height and kayak weight, this final step may feel a bit harder.
That said, the system was designed to ensure a comfortable loading experience overall. Since the 5-inch gap you mentioned seems more than expected, we’d like to better understand your setup (vehicle make/model, crossbar type, kayak length/weight) to see if we can troubleshoot and possibly adjust your unit for easier use.
Regarding the manual. The user manual provided in the box is fully bilingual (French/English) and contains all assembly and installation instructions. There is no French-only version of the installation manual. However, you may have found a product presentation guide online that exists in French only. Please note this is not the installation manual, it highlights the features of the MOS UpLift only.
If there was no bilingual user manual in your box, our apologies for this. Please send un an email to support@mosracks.com and we’d be happy to send you a PDF copy of the bilingual user manual. We will also share a short video of a team member using the MOS UpLift so you can compare your experience with the intended operation.
Once we receive your photos/video, we’ll be able to provide tailored recommendations to make loading your kayak easier and more comfortable.
